Mechnosutures were a type of surgical stitches used to close a wound or join tissues.[1] After Kylo Ren suffered lightsaber slashes at Rey's hand across his chest and face, an IT-S00.2 medical droid sealed the skin gashes with mechnosutures, while also applying bacta therapy to prevent scarring.[2]
