The smuggler Mazzic formed an organization[1] that operated during the Galactic Civil War[2] and the reign of the New Republic.[3] A small group, the organization consisted of Mazzic himself, his bodyguard, the Mistryl Shadow Guard Shada D'ukal who hid her deadly skills behind the facade of being nothing more than Mazzic's female companion, and the crews of his starships. Mazzic's personal ship was the Starwind-class pleasure yacht Distant Rainbow, and he also owned two Preybird-class starfighters, the Raptor and the Skyclaw.[1] The Preybirds were piloted by Griv and Amber.[3]
