Matt Surges is an actor and voice actor who voiced the Safari droid SF-R3,^[2] the main character of the Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures animated webseries, which debuted on StarWarsKids.com and the Star Wars Kids YouTube Channel.^[3] Surges was very thrilled when he was chosen to voice the character.^[2] His favorite episodes of the series to work on were "Kowakian Monkey-Lizards" and "Mynocks."^[4]

Biography

Matt Surges grew up in Sacramento, California. Surges pursued a degree in vocal performance at Sacramento State University. It was there that Surges studied acting with actress Faith Prince. She convinced him to follow his dreams and move to New York City to study acting and pursue performing on Broadway. In 2014, Surges was accepted into the two-year acting conservatory program at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. After graduating in 2016, Surges started his acting and singing career.^[1]

In 2021,^[3] Surges was cast to voice the Safari droid SF-R3,^[2] the main character of the Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures animated webseries. The series had a total of twelve episodes.^[3] Surges said that his favorite episodes to work on were "Kowakian Monkey-Lizards" and "Mynocks."^[4]The first two episodes of the series were released on StarWarsKids.com and the Star Wars Kids YouTube Channel on October 14, 2021. After that, two episodes were released every thursday.^[3]
