Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

During the first years of the Galactic Empire, Imperial stormtroopers massacred a group of shopkeepers on the planet Mon Cala after they opposed Imperial taxes. Ran Niall, then a captain in the Imperial Navy, was horrified by the massacre, and deserted soon after.[1]
