"Just seeking water. We haven't had water in two days."
―Marzi, to Chulok's enforcers[1]

Marzi was widowed and left to care for her three children after her mate Kassis was killed by enforcers working for the gangster Chulok. Marzi was among the citizens who were liberated following an uprising that ended in the fall of Chulok's stranglehold on New Xaxxis.

Marzi was a Tynnan female and a resident of New Xaxxis, the capital city of the Outer Rim Territories planet Metagos. She lived in the city with her mate, Kassis, and three children. Kassis was killed by enforcers working for the gangster Chulok for debts that he owed, leaving Marzi a widow. When Marzi and her children attempted to fetch water from a well pond[1] around 32 BBY,[2] three of Chulok's enforcers—a human and two Zilka—denied her access to the adjacent bridge unless she paid them. Marzi angrily pointed out the thugs' role in her mate's death; in response, one of the Zilka seized her. However, the incognito Jedi Master Mace Windu, having previously encountered the ruffians, intervened and incapacitated them.[1]

Days later, Marzi partook in a dance on level four of New Xaxxis along with two of her children. Following an uprising that saw the downfall of Chulok's empire and the resultant liberation of New Xaxxis, a jubilant Marzi attended a celebration at Vin-Vin's Wheelhouse, sitting with the bar's owner Vin-Vin Sunfall while accompanied by all three of her children. Windu, who was also present, reflected that Marzi's demeanor—complete with bright eyes and a wide smile—showed a considerable uptick from when he had first met her.[1]

While attempting to obtain water, Marzi wore white mourning garb and carried a wooden water jug.[1]
