The Martinette was a Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 light freighter, with customized modifications. It was used by pirate Captain Jayhawk and his crew.

History

Soon after the Battle of Yavin, pirate Captain Jayhawk used the Martinette in attacks to other light freighters in the Fakir sector. He pretended to be a privateer working for the Alliance to Restore the Republic. With this charade, Jayhawk boarded several ships, stealing the cargo and sometimes the ship itself, leaving the crew stranded. In 0 ABY, the Martinette attempted to attack the modified yacht Long Shot—which was really a ship of the Rebel Alliance. The Long Shot dealt with the pirates.[1]

Layout and modifications

The Martinette had several customizations, including improved, heavier shields and better engines for increased speed.[1]
