Mark II Katarn-class commando armor was a type of armor worn by Republic Commandos during the Clone Wars and the successor to the Mark I armor. Based on recommendations by Omega Squad after the events on Qiilura, Mark II armor Katarn-class commando armor was hardened against EMP and was resistant to Verpine shatter gun rounds. Mark II armor was strong enough to withstand contact blast from a grenade.
