- "What a speech! You must be very proud of your father."
- ―Maree's mother, to Maree
Maree was a human who was the child of Imperial General Skarhorn and a woman during the Imperial Era. In 3 ABY, Maree was present when her father gave a speech at the opening of a munitions factory at an Imperial Complex on the Outer Rim world Garel.
An assassin working for the criminal syndicate Crimson Dawn tried to kill the general but was thwarted by Imperial Lieutenant Beilert Valance, who crashed a speeder bike into the assassin's walker. The resulting collision sent Maree over a ledge and she began falling. Valance leapt after Maree and was ultimately able to save the child, though her father was killed by a second assassin.

Maree was a human child who lived during the Imperial Era and was the child of Skarhorn—a human male general in the Galactic Empire—and a human woman.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] she accompanied her parents to an Imperial Complex on[1] the Outer Rim world[3] Garel, where her father was to give a speech at the opening of a munitions factory. As Skarhorn delivered the speech, Maree stood with her mother, who praised the general's words and told Maree she must be proud of her father.[1]
As the general continued the speech, an All Terrain Scout Transport walker piloted by a assassin working for[1] the criminal syndicate[3] Crimson Dawn approached Skarhorn, determined to kill the general for supposed crimes against innocents. In an attempt to stop the assassin,[1] Imperial Lieutenant[4] Beilert Valance[3] commandeered a speeder bike and crashed it into the walker. As the walker collapsed because of the collision, Maree and her mother tried to move out of the way, but the child went over a ledge. Maree's mother reached out to grab her but was unable to stop her from falling. Instead, Valance leapt after Maree and caught her, expressing hope that it would be okay as he did so.[1]
The two then crashed into the ground, with Maree landing on top of the lieutenant before she called for her mother. While Valance comforted the sobbing child, he told Maree that all would be well. Valance was then contacted by Imperial Lieutenant Jyala Haydenn, who reprimanded him for leaving his position. After Valance informed[1] her[3] that he had saved Maree, Haydenn responded by noting Maree had no strategic value and that while Valance had been saving her, a second assassin had assassinated the child's father.[1]
Personality and traits
Maree had blond hair, blue eyes, and light skin.[1]
Equipment
While at the Imperial Complex on Garel, Maree was dressed in a pink tunic and light grey pants. The child wore a pair of grey boots, one of which she lost when falling from the Imperial Complex.[1]
