Marchion Ro's prison was a prison that existed for the sole purpose of housing the convicted Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro following the Nihil conflict. It was located within a hollowed-out asteroid, the location of which was only made known to the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic and the Jedi High Council. The asteroid was selected due to its travel vector not intersecting any known world or shipping lane. Its construction began immediately following the trial and conviction of Ro, and was completed solely by droids. The construction of the facility incorporated parts of the starship used to transport Ro to the asteroid, leaving him with no means of escape.[1]
The prison contained a number of amenities beyond Ro's cell, including an exercise room and a space containing a table and chair where Ro could eat his meals if he liked. Ro also had access to a hololibrary that was never updated following the completion of the prison's construction so as to not breach the restriction on communications the prison upheld.[1]
The facility was staffed exclusively by droids, including an attendant and a number of maintenance workers, all without vocal circuits. Over the years, Ro came to view the droids as companions. Despite this, numerous attempts were made to slice them. When he failed to do so, Ro desperately repaired the droids, though he failed to reactivate one of them. Following this, Ro mourned the loss of his friend. The prison was stocked with a lifetime of food and water needed to sustain Ro, though the supplies contained nothing fresh.[1]
While Ro's sentence was life-long, he had access to an airlock for the purpose of ending his life if he wished, though it was never used.[1]
