Principal Mar was a Kel Dor male Jedi Master and the head of the Jedi academy at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. As principal, his duties included sending letters welcoming new students to the academy. He was also an instructor who taught Padawans in the areas of science and philosophy.^[1] Courses taught by Mar included instruction in the scientific method, the biology of non-Human species, galactic ecology, and the basics of droid construction. He wore a mask that resembled Plo Koon's.
