Queen Mairayni was a monarch of the planet Naboo. The female was the sixth ruler to reign after King Ars Veruna[1] whose reign ended in 32.5 BBY.[2] Pars Varqom, a member of the Royal Naboo Security Forces, served under Mairayni as a Palace Guard prior to retiring. Varqom mentioned his service to the queen in the 2453rd volume of the Royal Archives of Naboo.[1]
Behind the scenes
Mairiyani was created for The Essential Guide to Warfare a 2012 reference book written by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart. The character was to be mentioned in a section titled titled "A Soldier's Story: Naboo Invaded," but the section was cut from the published version. The section was later published on StarWars.com on March 18, 2014, as part of the sixth entry of a blog series that released cut content from the guide.[1]
