Mahogany was a material. During the reign of the New Republic, a grand staircase in the Imperial Palace on the planet Coruscant was fitted with mahogany railings.[1] In 17 ABY,[2] New Republic Chief of State Leia Organa Solo supported herself on a mahogany railing on the staircase after experiencing a vision of the Dark Jedi Kueller.[1]
