The magna-harpoon were a harpoon utilized by a criminal group. The harpoons were fired into space by the group's starship.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] the criminal group was over the planet Jekara when Luke Skywalker's T-65B X-wing starfighter flew nearby the starship. The boss, Ororab wanted the T-65 and the captain of the ship ordered the magna-harpoon to be fired at Skywalker's starship. The harpoon's were fired with one knocking out his astromech droid R2-D2. As the harpoons started to bring Skywalker toward the criminal's ship, Darth Vader destroyed the harpoons with his TIE Advanced. Vader, who wanted Skywalker for himself, then attacked the starship damaging it.[1]
