The MD-FA directional shield was a starship deflector shield system produced by Prexton during the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. Considered the most versatile shield available on the open market, it possessed moderate total stopping power and allowed pilots to shift shield strength and regeneration rate between the fore and aft shield arcs.
