"Lock Down, we need cover from the pursuing droids. We have to protect Senator Dona while she's here."
"Copy that squad leader. We'll deal with these droids."
―A squad leader and Lock Down[2]

Lock Down was a clone trooper who served in the Coruscant Guard as a clone shock trooper during the Clone Wars.

Biography

"Our blasters just ran out of ammo. Any idea what we should do?"
"We can blind the battle droids in the exact same way I was. Watch this."
―A clone trooper and Lock Down[2]

Created on the planet Kamino,[1] the human clone who would take on the name Lock Down[2] was developed from the genetic template of bounty hunter Jango Fett. Designed to be a clone trooper,[1] Lock Down would serve the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems as a clone shock trooper of the Coruscant Guard. At some point during the war, Lock Down was stationed at a Republic base on the planet Garasu. While Senator Dona was at the base, the location was attacked by Separatist B1-series battle droids. With the base overrun, a squad of three shock troopers, which included Lock Down, fled across the planet's crystal bush-covered terrain.[2]

On their way to the evacuation point, the squad leader ordered Lock Down to provide covering fire as a means to protect Senator Dona. Alongside a fellow shock trooper, Lock Down stood their ground and began firing at the oncoming droid forces. During the fight, the surrounding crystal bushes began to reflect light, temporarily blinding Lock Down. The two clones continued to fire at the droids until they ran out of ammo. With no ammo left, Lock Down got the idea to use the crystal bushes to their advantage. Lock Down broke a shard off a crystal bush and used it shine light into a battle droid's photoreceptor, preventing it from seeing as the trooper tackled the droid into a crystal bush. The droid's collision with the bush sent tiny crystal shards into the air, causing the battlefield to sparkle with colorful lights. Distracted by the lights and equating them to a disco ball, the other battle droid began to dance, allowing them to easily be taken out by the clones. Soon after, an LAAT arrived to rescue the two clones. Lock Down jumped into the gunship and helped their clone comrade into the vehicle before evacuating the area.[2]

Personality and traits

As a clone trooper of Jango Fett, Lock Down stood at 1.83 meters tall, had tan skin, and weighed 80 kilograms.[1]

Equipment

Lock Down wore Phase II clone trooper armor adorned with the distinct red markings of the Coruscant Guard's clone shock troopers. The helmet Lock Down wore had a scratch mark on its dome, and two scratch marks on its chin. Lock Down utilized a blaster rifle during combat.[2] Like all other clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic, Lock Down was implanted with a behavioral modification biochip by the Kaminoan scientists to ensure that they would not resist certain orders.[1]
