"Well, screw you all."
―Hasalia Prederiko, after seeing the votes of LoLell and other senators[1]

LoLell was a senator in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Senate.[1] In 19 BBY,[2] when Senator Bail Organa brought Senator Mon Mothma's Imperial Rebirth Act, which would reduce Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine's authority, to the floor in the Senate chamber on the planet Coruscant, LoLell voted against the act. The Crymorah Syndicate agent Hasalia Prederiko, who was watching the proceedings on multiple screens, received notifications reporting the results of how senators, including LoLell, voted. After seeing several votes against the Imperial Rebirth Act, Prederiko became upset and poured her tea on the floor. However, the Senate passed the act, although it was later partially vetoed by Palpatine.[1]

Behind the scenes

LoLell was mentioned on a screen in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]

Therefore, the events of Edge of the Abyss must be set in 6 BBY, and the events of The Mask of Fear in 19 BBY.
