A line regiment was a formation of the Imperial Army.
Organization
A line regiment was comprised of two line battalions, an assault battalion, and a repulsorlift battalion, and a regimental headquarters. A line regiment's strength was 3,530 personnel supported by 130 repulsorcraft. Line regiments were generally deployed on planets where low level resistance was expected.[1]
The COMPNOR Regiment was nearly identical to the line regiment's design. With the main exception being the lack of five security platoons.[1]
Line regiments could be augmented by the addition of another line battalion, an assault battalion, a repulsorlift battalion, and an artillery battalion.[2]
