"Lightyear" was a song that the RX-Series pilot droid R-3X played on the radio station BSO 401.72 in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu[1] in 34 ABY.[2] The droid introduced the song as something for younglings, grubs, and hatchlings.[1]

Behind the scenes

"Lightyear" was created for the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,[1] which opened to guests at Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.[3] It can be heard playing during the land's background radio loop.[1]
