Light rings were anti-security devices that looked ordinary finger rings. By twisting a stone on the ring, the wearer would activate a beam of light capable of opening locks. The beam could also be used offensively, to target an opponent's eyes, dazzling them. The Devaronian Canno Wix owned several light rings, which he had obtained from a friend. Although he could use them effectively, Wix did not know exactly how the rings worked, but it was suggested that they might have used a mini-force field or a micro-tractor beam.[1]
