Last Tour to Endor information
The "Last Tour to Endor" was a special event held at Disney's Hollywood Studios for Celebration V attendees on August 14, 2010 from 8 PM to 1 AM the following day. It was held as the last ride of the original Star Tours attraction before it closed down on September 7 of the same year.[2]
Special entertainment events included: appearances from George Lucas; appearances from several characters from the Star Wars saga; participating in the Jedi Training Academy at the Star Wars Weekends event; a Death Star Disco; dancing at the Bespin Stage Dance Party; a live showing of Raiders of the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom: A Fan Film of Epic Proportions; watching the Hyperspace Hoopla; a fireworks show called Symphony in the Stars, and the actual Star Tours shutdown ceremony.[3]
During the shutdown ceremony, a live stage show with various Star Wars characters, including C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and several stormtroopers occurred, eventually culminating with Boba Fett blowing up Star Tours with a thermal detonator, achieved via pyrotechnics.[4][5]
