"We held the palace. And then there was a bomb. And when I woke up, it was all just gone."
―Zeb Orrelios[2]

A royal palace on Lasan housed the planet's royal family. It was protected by the Lasan High Honor Guard, warriors sworn to guard the royal family as well as the people of Lassan. When the Galactic Empire arrived to exterminate the Lasat[2] in 7 BBY,[1] the Honor Guard, led by Captain Garazeb Orrelios, fought to defend the royal palace. However, the Empire prevailed and killed most of the planet's inhabitants. During the fighting, Orrelios was rendered unconscious in an explosion and woke up to see the palace and his people gone.[2] In 3 BBY,[3] Orrelios spoke about the battle to his fellow rebel Ezra Bridger, describing the fight for the palace and the aftermath of the siege.[2]

Behind the scenes

The royal palace was first mentioned in "Legends of the Lasat,"[2] the fourteenth episode of the second season of the animated television series Star Wars Rebels.[4] The episode aired on February 3, 2016.[4]
