- "Baron-Administrator Calrissian had his own group of Commando-pilots back home. The idea's got merit, even if they couldn't stop Darth Vader from causing trouble."

Lando's Commandos was an elite unit assembled in 3 ABY by Lando Calrissian on Cloud City. It was later reformed to rescue several New Republic starships captured by the TIE Pirates.
History
Lando's Commandos was an elite force established by Lando Calrissian, the Baron Administrator of Cloud City, in 3 ABY. The group unsuccessfully defended Cloud City from the Imperial occupation.
The Commandos were later reformed in 4 ABY from a motley group of spacers, bounty hunters, smugglers, and the former Imperial officer Von Asch. Guided by another former Imperial captain named Kine, Calrissian and his team assaulted the base of the TIE Pirates, and was eventually able to defeat them.[1]
The unit also participated in the liberation of Bespin shortly after the Battle of Endor.[4] The unit was known to use a cloaked stealth fighter housed in a museum located on Dantooine.[1]
Behind the scenes
Lando's Commandos first appeared in the 2000 comic Lando's Commandos: On Eagles' Wings. They also appeared in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds during the Darth Vader campaign. The campaign was later included in the game's 2002 expansion pack, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns. The Commandos' appearance in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds takes place prior to their formation in the comic. This article assumes the group was later reformed.
