Landing pad X-13, also known as berth X-13, was a landing pad at Makem Te spaceport on the planet Makem Te in operation during the time of the New Republic. In 19 ABY,[1] Shadowfire, a Suwantek TL-1200 transport owned by the Hutt Popara Anjiliac Diresto was docked in the bay. Popara's intermediary Vago Gejalli Thokka handed over the vessel[2] to the Jedi archivist Mander Zuma and the spacers Reen Irana and Eddey Be'ray for an assignment on the planet Endregaad. The trio ventured to landing pad X-13 to inspect the vessel and take onboard a cargo of medicinal spice.[1] Before the vessel departed, Popara's son Zonnos visited the bay and offered the services of his Klatooinian servant Gabbera as a pilot for the mission.[2] Zuma, Irana and Be'ray subsequently departed the bay aboard the transport and flew to Endregaad.[1]
Behind the scenes
A landing pad named landing bay X14 appeared in the 2002 Wizards of the Coast roleplaying adventure Tempest Feud, by Jeff Grubb and Owen K.C. Stephens. The pad is situated on the starting world for the adventure which it advised can be any world in the Mid Rim or Outer Rim Territories, to be determined at the discretion of the gamemaster. The adventure specifies that this world should not be located in the Corporate Sector or Hutt Space and that a world situated in the Tion Cluster would be an especially suitable location. In Tempest Feud the player characters are tasked by Popara with a mission to Endregaad and collect from landing bay X14 the TL-1200 transport assigned for the mission.[2]
The landing bay subsequently appeared in the 2012 novel Scourge, an adaptation of Tempest Feud written by Jeff Grubb. In Scourge the landing bay is referred to as "landing pad X-13" and in one instance as "berth X-13"[1] rather than the name used in Tempest Feud, "landing bay X14."[2] Scourge depicts Zuma, Irana and Be'ray in role fulfilled by the players in Tempest Feud[1][2] and identifies the trio as the individuals assisting Popara who visit the landing bay to take possession of the TL-1200 transport.[1]
