The Lancer was a corvette in the navy of the Galactic Empire. During a New Republic attack on Pandem Nai in the aftermath of the Battle of Endor, the Lancer was present above the planet. Its captain felt that he was at risk, requesting clearance from Colonel Shakara Nuress aboard the Orbital One space station, to depart. Nuress refused, knowing the New Republic would not target the Lancer, and ordered the starship to be recalled into low orbit.[1]
