Lake Anre was a prehistoric lake on the planet Tatooine that ran all the way to the Northern Dune Sea desert via underground tributaries.[1] By 32 BBY,[2] the lake had dried up, with its bed left as a region of desert that became known as the Hutt Flats.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Lake Anre was mentioned in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations. It was part of material reprinted[1] from the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund and marked the first mention of the lake in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3]
