- "We sent Vader spinning into a galaxy far, far away, Luke."
"Maybe, Maniac. But I have a feeling we'll see him again." - ―The LEGO Maniac and Luke Skywalker
The LEGO Maniac—or simply the Maniac—was a Human affiliated with the Alliance to Restore the Republic. At one point in time, he was on a secret mission for the Alliance—piloting a BTL-A4 Y-wing starfighter disguised as a freighter—upon hearing a distress call from the astromech droid R2-D2. Deciding to help R2-D2 and fellow rebel Luke Skywalker, the Maniac went to Tatooine and rebuilt his Y-wing back into its starfighter/bomber configuration. Using the Y-wing, he fired upon the present Imperial scout troopers and took off. The Sith Lord Darth Vader chased the Maniac in a TIE Advanced x1 and successfully hit his Y-wing, dispatching him momentarily. While the Sith Lord refocused his attention to Skywalker, the Maniac and his droid repaired the Y-wing and returned to assist Skywalker against Vader. After defeating Vader, sending him spinning into space, he and Skywalker departed as Luke told Maniac that he felt they would see Vader again.[1]
