Kricad was a Mohsenian criminal who was forced to assist Jonram Dremel in an attempt to capture the Dianoga Omi on the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station. Kricad was imprisoned on the first Death Star during its construction over Geonosis. In the service corridors of the space station, Kricad encountered a tiny flying beetle which landed on his shoulder. This terrified him, to the consternation of the others in the group. Kricad was nevertheless keenly aware of the bugs' presence.[1]
After fellow crewmate Geratt and Dremel himself were slain by a monstrous creature formed from a hive mind of the beetles, Kricad managed to gain possession of the remote to the class-seven stun collars he and his fellow prisoners wore to ensure their compliance. Kricad betrayed the only other survivor, Saan by activating her collar, leaving her to the mercy of the monster.[1]
Kricad tossed his collar and attempted to flee, only to be confronted by the beast. He was saved by the Dianoga attacking the insectoid monster, allowing him to escape the service corridors. He snuck through the Death Star back to Dremel's ship and fled the system. Unbeknownst to him, however, at least three of the dangerous beetles stowed away in the cockpit of the ship as he jumped to hyperspace.[1]
