Korriban's orbital security station was in orbit around Korriban[7] in 3681 BBY.[8] The station was attacked by the Sith Empire in the early stages of the Great Galactic War.[7] It was primarily used to monitor the Korriban system, to prevent any Sith sympathizers acquiring Sith artifacts and to prevent smugglers from stealing them.
