- "Star Morning is a Koqus liner—the better part of fifty years old, mind you, and too small to compete with the big Expo ships, but still no small purchase."
"How many could it carry?"
"A Koqus? Maybe sixty, depending on the cargo allocation."
"That would be enough."
"You don't seem overly surprised by this. I was. I thought we were trying to track down refugees, not stockholders."
"Just because we choose to live simply doesn't mean that we're without resources. To be poor is to be powerless. The Fallanassi are as old as the Jedi, and we've hidden and husbanded our resources well." - ―Luke Skywalker and Akanah Norand Goss Pell
The Koqus liner was a type of starliner manufactured by the Koqus Design Syndic. This model was based on an older Republic Sienar design.[1]
The Koqus liner was classed as a short-route liner despite the sleeper configuration of its main cabin. It could carry fifty-eight passengers.[1]
Measuring forty-four meters long and twenty-eight meters across, the Koqus liner had a spade-shaped hull. It was readily capable of planetary landings at even the smallest spaceports.[1]
The Koqus liner was equipped with a Class 1 hyperdrive, powered by two fusion generators. Its two Viper 40 ion engines, which would have been adequate for a ship with a keel mass half again greater, gave the starliner a formidable sublight speed.[1]
The Star Morning was a Koqus liner owned by the Kell Plath Corporation, a company based on the planet Teyr and controlled by the Fallanassi religious order.[1]
