A knockout grenade was a type of grenade. While stun weapons were the most common nonlethal means of disabling an adversary, they were not the only option for subduing an opponent. Knockout grenades offered a method to incapacitate multiple targets without causing permanent harm. These grenades released a tranquilizer gas that swiftly put most living beings within the blast radius into a deep sleep. Poachers occasionally used such grenades to capture wild, dangerous predators, and they could also effectively subdue large creatures if used in sufficient quantities.[1]
