- "Least you got a real good shot on that officer. Went down like an empty suit of stormtrooper armor. Or even one that was full."
"Kiren got lucky. This shot could've killed them." - ―Tal Veridian and Baudu, discussing how Kiren got injured
Kiren was a[2] non-binary[1] mechanic who worked in Cloud City on Bespin alongside their coworker, Baudu. The trio of Kiren, Baudu, and their friend Tal Veridian were opposed to the Galactic Empire. Veridian led them in a plan to pit the Mining Guild against the Empire to prevent the deportation of non-Mining Guild Tibanna miners.[2]
Kiren had fur and a snout and wore a brown jumpsuit while at work. They understood but did not speak Galactic Basic Standard; still, they communicated with Baudu and Veridian with gestures and vocalizations, such as grunts and growls. Kiren could fly a U-33 orbital loadlifter.[2]

There's a character—Kiren—that uses they/them pronouns throughout, and was curious if the character was intended to be non-binary? Spotted while reading and would love to know!")
