Kinetic armors were assault armors improved to resist damage from kinetic based weapons, including swords and slugthrowers. Such armors were frequently used by bounty hunters and medics during the time of the Galactic Civil War.[1] Kinetic resistance could be provided to armors using specific armor layers.[2]

Behind the scenes

Kinetic armor appeared in the video game Star Wars Galaxies as an unlockable skill for bounty hunters and medics.[1]
