Kerner, also known as Kerner Corp., was an optics company that made optical holo-emitters as well as cloaking devices such as the "Defel" Cloaking Belt and the Multi-Phase Hibridium Stealth System.
Behind the scenes
Kerner is named for the real-life Kerner, which was the smokescreen name for ILM while in San Rafael, California and is now the true name for former ILM model and stage departments.
