Keloythian oak was a type of wood used to craft a large central table in a meeting hall of Sankar Palace, a building in the city of Jorra on the planet Cato Neimoidia. The meeting hall was the site of failed cease-fire negotiations during the Clone Wars, and in their violent aftermath, the table became slashed and burned.
Description
Keloythian oak was a type of wood.[1]
History
By the time of the Clone Wars, it was used to craft a large table that was set in the center of a meeting hall of Sankar Palace, a building in the city of Jorra on the Colonies planet Cato Neimoidia that was affiliated with the Trade Federation and the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the war.[1]
Jedi Knight Suljo Warde carried out a slaughter of diplomats in the meeting hall housing a Keloythian oak table.
At one point during that conflict, the meeting hall housed cease-fire talks between Neimoidian Confederacy diplomats and the Galactic Republic. However, just after the beginning of the negotiations, the Republic Jedi Knight Suljo Warde, who had become corrupted by his use of the Force ability of precognition and had become convinced the talks were a mere ruse, decided to preemptively attack and kill the Confederacy diplomats. Igniting his lightsaber, he leaped across the table and slew the Neimoidians, after which Warde's fellow Jedi Jiv Durael and Kaddo Moll engaged him in a lightsaber duel throughout Sankar Palace in an attempt to arrest him. Shortly after that confrontation, Sankar Palace became the focus point of renewed fighting between the Confederacy and the Republic when the former retaliated for the slaughter of its diplomats.[1]
Two decades later, a group of Force-sensitive individuals retracing Warde's steps during the Clone Wars visited the battle-damaged Sankar Palace, where they came across the slashed and burned Keloythian oak table in the meeting room that was strewn with combat debris.[1]
