Keenal Dene was a leader of the Alliance to Restore the Republic in its early development. According to a report published on Imperial HoloVision[1] in 1 ABY,[2] Chandrilan senator Mon Mothma resigned from the Imperial Senate and disappeared,[1] although she had actually fled the galactic capital Coruscant to escape execution by the Galactic Empire for her work in building the Alliance.[3] The report stated that Mothma had been secretly meeting Rebel leaders, including Dene amongst others such as Bail Organa, Garm Bel Iblis, and Jan Dodonna.[1]
