A karfler was a creature.[1] In 22 ABY,[2] on a planet in the Unknown Regions' the Redoubt starcluster, a group of Vagaari Empire operatives infiltrated the wreckage of the colonization vessel Outbound Flight and released several furry predators known as wolvkils, one of which shook itself like a wet karfler.[1]

The karfler was mentioned in Timothy Zahn's 2004 novel Survivor's Quest.[1]
