Kaid was a male Human lieutenant of the Sith Empire living during the Galactic War. Around 3641 BBY Kaid was stationed on Belsavis and was leading a squad of Sith Lord Melicoste's commandos on a mission to extract Darth Ekkage from Belsavis prison. However, Kaid and the commandos were attacked by the Emperor's Wrath in Melicoste's bunker. Kaid, upon being threatened, revealed to the Wrath that Melicoste already left ahead for the High Security Section. The Wrath then killed Kaid after saying he outlived his usefulness.[2]

Annihilation establishes that the Treaty of Coruscant collapsed approximately eighteen months prior, or in 3641 BBY, and as Act III occurs after the treaty's collapse, the act begins sometime between 3641 BBY and 3640 BBY. This article assumes that Belsavis, as the start of Act III, takes place around the end of 3641 BBY.
