Listening post KR21 was a listening post originally used by the Nikardun Destiny, at the suggestion of the Grysk Hegemony. The post was built by Nikardun leader General Yiv the Benevolent, but after the defeat of Yiv by the Chiss Ascendancy, the Grysk commander "Jixtus" slaughtered the Nikarduns stationed on KR21.[1]
During a mission to the Vak Combine, Ascendancy military Picket Force Six undertook a mission to listening post KR21, expecting to find a Nikardun fleet. Instead, they discovered that the Nikardun starships were destroyed by an asteroid missile platform, and boarded the post to record Nikardun corpses.[2] Eventually returning to continue their investigations, the Chiss encountered Grysk ships converting it into a shipyard. Following the ensuing battle, the Grysks fled into hyperspace.[1]

KR21 first appeared in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Greater Good, the second volume in Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[2]
