A kingdom led by a Dark Jedi Joruus C'baoth[2] maintained a monarchy on the planet Wayland.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Heir to the Empire Sourcebook and The Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook treat the Guardian of Mount Tantiss and Joruus C'baoth as the same character.[1][4] While 1995's The Essential Guide to Characters tries to clarify that Joruus C'baoth created the kingdom, it still mentions that he protected and guarded Mount Tantiss over many years.[2]
