"Give Lt. Jasper my love, will ya? And tell him to come down and have a drink with his favorite man of information."
―Jonset[1]

Jonset was a male Zabrak who lived on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War. By the time following the Battle of Yavin, he would frequent the Coronet City cantina and served as an informant for the Corellian Security Force.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] CorSec Lieutenant Mack Jasper sent a spacer to ask Jonset about the Rogue CorSec. Jonset provided information regarding a secret meeting between the Rogue CorSec and the Ragtag gang.[1] Further investigation of the CorSec about the Rogue CorSec/Ragtag connexion would led to the discovery of a plot to overthrow the Diktat Daclif Gallamby himself.[3]

Behind the scenes

Jonset was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4]

Jonset was added to the game with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[5] He was part of questline that featured the Rogue CorSec plot against the Diktat.[1] This story arc was later slightly revamped with the release of the "Publish 27", on February 15, 2006,[6] as the questline was integrated into the "Legacy Quest," the main questline in the game.[1]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
