Jom Lariin was a Valon whose father was Nas Lariin, the mayor of Lonisa City on Valo. When the Republic Fair was held there during the High Republic Era, Jom met Kitrep Soh, the son of the Galactic Republic's Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh. The two bonded quickly and had snuck away from the public eye when the Nihil attacked the Valo Republic Fair.[1]

Jom Lariin is a character that was created for the Star Wars: The High Republic publishing project. He first appeared in the novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, which was written by Cavan Scott and published in 2021.[1]
