- "Encrypted transmission from Jom Irimore, Rebel Alliance cell member in Tyrena to Teslo Ten'doora at the base. Sir, I have a new contact. Another member of the Imperial Military (a high-ranking one, I might add) is going to supply us with information. I'll send someone to bring him to you as soon as possible. I trust in this officer's defection. Apparently, his entire family was on Alderaan."
- ―Jom Irimore, to Teslo Ten'Doora
Jom Irimore was an officer in the Alliance to Restore the Republic who lived during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, Irimore was stationed in Tyrena, on the planet Corellia.[1] In 1 ABY,[3] Irimore was approached by an Imperial Military officer who was willing to defect to the Rebellion. The Imperial officer was eager to defect and give sensitive information to the Rebels because he had lost his family during the Destruction of Alderaan.[2] Jom Irimore thus recruited a Rebel operative to escort the Imperial defector to Rebel Officer Teslo Ten'Doora at the Hidden Rebel Base on Corellia. However, the defector eventually changed the plans and requested the Rebel operative to deliver a codephrase to Ten'Doora: "Droids need Star Destroyers in the evening." The operative delivered successfully the correct codephrase.[1]
Behind the scenes
Possible depictions of Jom Irimore
Jom Irimore was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] Jom Irimore was added to the game with the release of the Publish 14.1, on March 24, 2005.[2]
Since Jom Irimore spawned under the generic "rebel_officer_questgiver" template, their appearance was randomized under one of six possible depictions and would fluctuate after each server reset.[1]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
