Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A male individual and the Human[1] Chandrilan Senator[2] Mon Mothma of the Mothma family had a Human son named Jobin. Jobin became a corporal in the Alliance to Restore the Republic,[1] an organization Mothma had founded.[2] While stationed on[1] the planet[3] Hoth[1] in 3 ABY,[4] Jobin recorded a message for Mothma, which, after hearing about encroaching Imperial walkers, he concluded by asking her to send his best wishes to his father and love to[1] Lieda Mothma, his sister.[5] Subsequently, Jobin was killed by Imperial forces in the Battle of Hoth, with his message not reaching his mother until leadup to the Battle of Endor[1] in 4 ABY.[6]

Jobin's father was mentioned in "Entrenched," a short comic story written by Alex Jaeger and M. Zachary Sherman. The comic was published by Dark Horse Comics in the Star Wars Legends comic anthology Star Wars: Visionaries,[1] released on April 2, 2005.[8] In the Ask the Master section of the 82nd issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine,[7] which began shipping to subscribers on May 17, 2005,[9] author Pablo Hidalgo responded to a fan query about Mon Mothma's daughter Lieda and the identity of her father. Hidalgo acknowledged Jobin in his response and stated that "Entrenched" did not give any indication about the identity of either child's father.[7]

The canon television series Star Wars: Andor introduced Mon Mothma's husband and Leida Mothma's father, Perrin Fertha, in the first season's fourth episode titled "Aldhani,"[10] which premiered on September 28, 2022.[11] As Jobin's father was not established to be either Mon Mothma's husband or Lieda's father, this article does not assume that the character is a counterpart to Fertha.
