Jan was a Human male who was recruited into the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. At some point after joining the Rebel Alliance, he was sent on a mission to meet with the smuggler Han Solo on Corellia. After meeting with the rebel hero, he participated, without knowing, in a mission to steal a DSS-02 shield generator for the hidden rebel base.
