Jade Squadron was a Resistance starfighter squadron led by Commander Venisa Doza during the First Order-Resistance War.^[1]

History

Open warfare

Jade Squadron was one of the more versatile Resistance cells and squadrons.^[1] By the time of the hunt for the Colossus, Jade Squadron was reduced to four pilots.^[2]

Blockade of Dantooine

Sometime during the Resistance's War with the First Order, Jade Squadron participated in a mission to escort three shuttles carrying Resistance recruits from Dantooine to the Colossus temporarily until they could find a new location for them since the First Order cracked all of their rendezvous coordinates. Prior to the mission, Commander Doza asked her husband Captain Imanuel Doza for help as their situation was dire with only four pilots remaining in Jade Squadron including herself. They were assisted by three pilots volunteered from Ace Squadron; Venisa and her husband’s daughter Torra, Hype Fazon, and Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono. They had a fight with a squadron of TIE fighters from First Order Security Bureau Agent Tierny and Commander Pyre's Resurgent-class Star Destroyer the Thunderer. After returning to the Colossus, Doza invited Jade Squadron and the recruits to stay since he was done running from the fight and vowed to use the Colossus to help the Resistance with whatever it needed.^[2]

Rescue of Tamara Ryvora

Jade Squadron later scrambled during the rescue of Tamara Ryvora to defend the Colossus. Their ion weaponry and attacks were key to taking down the Thunderer.^[3]
