Jaacen was a clone of the Human Jedi Knight Jacen Solo. He was cloned by Grand Admiral Thrawn. When Thrawn got away with switching Solo's brother, Anakin, with Anaakin Solo, he went on replace Jacen with Jaacen.[2]

Behind the scenes

Jaacen was mentioned in "An Apology," a short story by Timothy Zahn that was released on April 1, 2012 as an April Fool's Day joke.
