- "We should all be eternally grateful to the dedicated work undertaken by the likes of J0-8O, the archival droid at the Galactic Museum and Archive on Chandrila, where many of the rarest testimonies and records have been kept and made accessible."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
J0-8O was an archival droid who worked at the Galactic Museum and Archives on the planet Chandrila. The droid's role related to storing some of the rarest testimonies and records relating to atrocities and genocides committed by the Galactic Empire and making them available.[1] In 35 ABY,[2] the historian Beaumont Kin claimed everyone should be eternally grateful for J0-8O's dedicated work at the museum in[1] his[3] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.[1]
Behind the scenes
J0-8O was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
