The J'kari Thunderers was a squadron of mercenary pilots that flew M12-L Kimogila heavy starfighters. During the Imperial Era, an Imperial Moff coerced the squadron into helping destroy Rebel Alliance threats within the Moff's sector by holding several of the pilots' families in "protective custody."[1]
A group of Alliance members heard rumors that the Thunderers were being coerced and rescued their families, convincing the mercenaries to join the Alliance.[1]
Behind the scenes
The J'kari Thunderers were first mentioned in the 2020 Fantasy Flight Games sourcebook Starships and Speeders. The book includes an adventure seed for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying series, and this article assumes the scenario plays out as described.[1]
