"It" was an IT-3 Interrogator droid that in 8 ABY led a group of underdwellers on Coruscant in an attempt to steal a datapad from New Republic Senator Leia Organa Solo. While she was still in power on the galactic capital, Director of Imperial Intelligence Ysanne Isard sent a slicer droid to update the programming of "It"—who was lurking in an old secret Imperial detention center—and program it to destroy the government of the New Republic. "It" was ultimately destroyed itself by the Wookiees Chewbacca, Mallatobuck, and Lumpawaroo.
