Ira Keeler worked as a model maker for Industrial Light & Magic. He worked on many films, including Lucasfilm's Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, and Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, as well as Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.[1]
Keeler also worked as a model maker for the original Star Tours attraction, and made a brief appearance in the ride film, as a crewman who ducks out of the way of an out-of-control StarSpeeder 3000. A popular misconception was that this actor was actually George Lucas.[3]
